FamilySource Centers prepared students and families for the new school year with Back to School events that provided food, backpacks, and learning exercises designed to inspire success.
At Canoga Park FamilySource Center, managed by New Economics for Women (NEW), parents received resources, tips, and other important information to help them support their children throughout the school year. In addition to backpacks, school supplies, and resources, the center hosted an internal resource fair that engaged various service units, including Financial Coaching, Homeless Prevention, Youth Services, Pupil Services and Attendance (PSA) Counselors, and a general FSC information table.
Children's Collective Inc.'s FamilySource Center provided families with food packages, backpacks filled with essential school supplies, and complimentary haircuts for children.
P.F. Bresee FSC collaborated with PepsiCo, the Los Angeles Football Club, PacSun and HeadsUp for a backpack giveaway outing while hosting activities like creating folders, goal-setting, soccer matches, and lunch.
These were just a few of many FSC gatherings that empowered students and prepared them for a successful year.
